Why would I even suggests that there is a decline or loss of honesty and truthfulness in society. What newness will may claim hold if not to imply that people are becoming less truthful, trustworthy, or transparent in their interactions and communication. While it is subjective to claim that honesty has completely died, there are concerns about a perceived erosion of trust and integrity in various aspects of modern life. The disinformation and fake news surrounding Affordable Housing has prevailed on social media and digital platforms. Whether people are intentionally or unintentionally sharing false information, leading to confusion, mistrust, and the distortion of facts is partly due to governance approach. The democracy that the government is advocating for lacks openness, accountability, fairness, accuracy, lawfulness, clarity, fidelity to the rule of law, timeliness, credibility and transparency. There is much to be said here and instead of exhausting ourselves, let us follow the argument advanced by one of the experts. Professor Omenya may be guilty of political deception but not professional deception. Politics always involves some level of spin and manipulation. However, in recent times, there has been instances of too much noise voiced in strong language.
