Having sought our indulgence in public intercourse on political eclipse discourse, professor Makau invites us to interrogate the aims that he claims to reason for Kenya’s stunted growth in political economy.
Kenya- Constructing a Republic of Fear
The other day, Martha Karua was busy narrating about ‘brutal Ruto’ but it is professor Makau who has remained ruthless. But may he indulge us on state tyranny and the docile Kenyans domiciled in non-resistance. Declaring Kenya as a country of cowards , Makau’s cravings for originality of his ideals is littered in his efforts to rally us to an ideology that is bare and rare, at least in its efforts to draw attention to a concluded history. He calls his preferences true liberation in so far as he is the architect of origins. But as urchins of knowledge we tolerate his intense intellectual intercourse while we can and hoping we are not submitting his own version of proto-facism.
Here again Makau the meritocrat chides us as orphans of mediocrity and decides we cannot move forward but backward since for all the peeling of eyes we let him cherish, he remains adamant that he can change the original tradition of established history by making the origins of the state perish. Professor zooms in to educate his zombies what they have unlearnt but he himself forgets to unlearn the corollaries of colonization from Magna Graecia, Britannia, Americas and Asia. Mutua’s reason to declare Kenyans as Zombies is the white man who penetrated our soul and soil. But the white man of Aristotle in none of his cares. Makau manages to be a first class architect in construction of a republic of fear by terrorizing us with the fear of danger in imaginary horrors of danger.
The first task of this architect in construction of a republic of fear is to claim that he and therefore we are unable to reclaim our spiritualities despite our independence, freedoms and liberties. Even him is intellectually defeated. And long after throwing tantrums unnecessarily, Makau’s grammatical drama collapses into simple singular; An exclusive universe in which the tyrant is a product of cultural and spiritual orientation.
The Liberal State– Makau’s Historicism a stream of dreams.
Again the Architect of a republic of fear is hot and bothered with finding himself in a paradise in whose amargeddon had charred and caused to perish his most cherished ideals. Like Lucifer, his best quest to stoke a public rebellion in paradise is enshrined and shines through his persistence on foundations of Originality, Symbolism and Iconism. But before we encourage him to move and find his Uniqueness through Healing for Sustainability, we remain muted as professor crafts his own conflicted consciousness to the Kenya existence and reality and what it means for his identity.
Rather than wait for what he feared very soon may be the fate of the nation-state, professor decides to choke us with nostalgia. But rather digress with his notion of excesses we choose to remain keen to the architect of the republic of fear if we are to survive it. Makau is Political Identity crisis is seeking a fertile ground to cling if it is ever to know how to grow. Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, the founding father must have terribly excluded his ideals in establishing the route that Kenya was to take to Canaan. So when he finally lays is pen on Mzee Moi, he is in haste to paste his notions, which he is shy to test on Mzee Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta but eager to have William Ruto taste. Will he succeed?
